Request Denied

The request to extend the date for Oklahoma to become compliant with the Real ID Act has been denied. On Tuesday (10/11), the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety denied the State of Oklahoma’s request to extend the time to become compliant with the Real ID Act. Now, starting January 30, 2017, those with Oklahoma licenses will not be able to use them in federal agencies. Basically that means that anyone using an Oklahoma license will have to have a form of identification that is REAL ID compliant to enter a federal building, facility, military base, courthouse, etc. Then in January 22, 2018, state issued IDs will not be accepted to use when boarding a commercial aircraft within the United States. Smart Bike?

BMW Group debuted a motorcycle concept so artificially intelligent that it eliminates the need for the rider to wear protective gear, including a helmet. The BMW Motorrad Vision Next 100 motorcycle is the latest incarnation of BMW’s Vision Next series, which  celebrates 100 years  of the German brand with forward-looking concept vehicles from  Rolls-Royce ,  Mini ,  and BMW . it’s a bike that has self-balancing systems to keep it upright both when standing (a boon for novice riders, on par with training wheels for bicycles) and in motion (beneficial for experienced riders who want erudite handling at high speed). Several systems—one BMW calls a “Digital Companion,” which offers riding advice and adjustment ideas to optimize the experience, and one called “The Visor,” which is a pair of glasses that span the entire field of vision and are controlled by eye movements—correlate to return active feedback about road conditions to the rider while adjusting the ride of the bike continuously depending on the rider’s driving style. You aren’t famous until you have your own Lego set

Lego has memorialized The Beatles with their very own yellow submarine Lego set. The company just announced the Beatles’ Lego Yellow Submarine set, which comes with pieces to construct all four Beatles, a groovy underwater sub and more. The set comes with over 550 pieces and is designed for ages 10 and up – although we think adults who were around during Beatlemania will have just as much fun building it. The project was inspired by the Lego Ideas crowdsourcing platform earlier this year and the 1968 animated film Yellow Submarine. In case you are wondering, Lego versions of Paul, John, George and Ringo all fit in the sub’s cabin perfectly. (Mashable)

Guy used a Blockbuster card as ID to buy beer

After 14 tries, do you finally accept that your Blockbuster membership is not a legal form of identification and cannot prove your age to a liquor store? No. You try for the fifteenth time. And as Redditor boomboomsaIoon wrote, “It took about fifteen tries but I was finally able to use my Blockbuster membership as proof of age.” FYI: Incase you are wondering, Blockbuster was a video rental place.
